The Gardner School supports families by partnering with parents to provide engaging early childhood education for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. When a family joins The Gardner School, they’re joining a community. Our teachers and staff offer an exciting start to the journey of lifelong learning, and educating young children requires an intentional approach. Our carefully designed curriculum and culture help build a solid foundation for each child’s learning journey. Plus, the network of families at the school who are in a similar stage of life creates friendships that last beyond preschool. The most important story your child will ever write is the story of their own life. Give them a strong first chapter at The Gardner School.

“Embrace Who They Are.”

The first step in providing exceptional early childhood education is getting to know each individual child. Every child is unique, with specific talents and traits. At The Gardner School, we get to know each child individually, which allows us to customize their care and education. Understanding the needs of every student is something we prioritize at TGS. We provide accommodations for children with food allergies, help children build strong social-emotional skills, provide ample outdoor playtime for our active preschoolers, and support their intellectual growth through our research-based curriculum. We provide a wide variety of activities and approaches to help children discover who they are and who they will become.

“Imagine Who They’ll Be.”

The most exciting part of early childhood education is watching individual students blossom in our classrooms. Our curriculum is diverse enough to meet the needs of every student, and our teachers are committed to helping each student thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. The Gardner School also prepares every child for the academic adventures they will encounter in kindergarten and beyond. Our Pre-K program focuses on the skills that children need for kindergarten readiness. We build lifelong learners by giving preschoolers memorable moments in a classroom environment—interspersed with plenty of time for play.

Playful Discovery

Not only is it fun to play, but it’s also one of the most important learning modalities for young children. That’s why plenty of indoor and outdoor play is an integral part of our students’ daily schedules at The Gardner School. Through play, children learn gross motor skills, fine motor skills, flexibility, strength, and essential social and emotional growth! At The Gardner School, children are able to explore and laugh together throughout the day—whether they’re playing with friends outdoors, in our vibrant classrooms, or during the summer at Camp Gardner.

Creating Connections

At The Gardner School, cultivating relationships between students, teachers, and family is an important part of everything we do. Children learn how to make friends and build and maintain healthy relationships, learning key skills with benefits that will last a lifetime. Building bonds with others also helps children build character and compassion. We incorporate inclusion and compassion into our approach to early education, helping your child build empathy, kindness, and adaptable social-emotional skills.

Exploring Interests

The best way for children to discover their interests and skills is by introducing them to a variety of subjects and activities. Our optional enrichment classes offer children the chance to explore music, art, physical activities, and more. Because students are exploring new skills during the day, it’s convenient for working families. We also believe connecting children to their communities is an essential part of helping children build compassion and empathy. This includes supporting local charities with a food or toy drive, meeting neighborhood firemen and firewomen, and meeting other community heroes. These experiences open their eyes to the world around them and the endless possibilities for who they could become.

Building Knowledge

All programs at The Gardner School are designed to encourage an emerging sense of self while nurturing intellectual growth, exploration, and socialization in a safe, supportive environment for children 6 weeks to 5 years. Schedule a tour to learn more about our approach or enroll your child today.
