When you go out for dinner with the whole family, you’re looking for Denver’s best restaurants that will welcome young and old. Parents at The Gardner School of Denver shared their top picks for Denver’s kid-friendly restaurants with us. At these locations, you’ll find friendly staff who make accommodations for food allergies, dishes children will love, and warm, inviting spaces. You won’t have any reservations about making a reservation at these family favorites.

Zane’s Bistro

With a laid back family atmosphere, huge menu full of delicious Italian foods, and the ability to accommodate larger groups, Zane’s Bistro is a great place for family gatherings. Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. features a special menu that includes their famous Waffle with Chocolate Sauce, a child favorite that adults may be tempted to steal a bite of.

Zig Zag Smokin’ Burger

For a personalized experience like no other, Zig Zag Smokin’ Burger definitely delivers. From the 100% scratch kitchen and craft cocktails, easy parking, specials like Taco Tuesday, and its cool modern eclectic decor, there simply isn’t another place like it. Children will get a kick out of ordering food with quirky names, and Zig Zag also has plenty of traditional favorites like pasta, mac’n’cheese, and fries. It’s contemporary American food, elevated by small but flavorful tweaks to the classics.

Spice Trade Brewing

Spice Trade Brewing is perfect for a family craving a culinary adventure. With a seasonal menu that focuses on a different global cuisine every three months, and a patio that’s dog friendly, boredom is simply not possible. Spice Trade’s globally inspired street food is prepared in a fun, festive atmosphere that even makes a Tuesday feel like a celebration. Children will enjoy the chicken fingers, and s’mores found on the children’s menu while adults can sip on craft beverages and eclectic cuisine.

Cherry Cricket

As one of the oldest restaurants still in operation in Colorado, The Cherry Cricket is a piece of Denver’s culinary history. It offers traditional American favorites, huge portions, and a timeless ambiance. Children and adults can choose from more than 40 burger toppings available, so every member of the family can customize their order to suit their personality.

Cody’s Café and Bar

This comfortable, cozy neighborhood spot draws on Southwestern, Vietnamese, and Italian traditions to deliver the familiar mixed with the unexpected. Its sister restaurant, Bettola Bistro, is two doors down, so little ones have the option of ordering from both menus. Pro tip: the (delicious) complimentary bread and herbed oil will help tide hungry children over till the food arrives.
