Sever’s Fall Festival
During the month of October, families can enjoy Sever’s Fall Festival, known as the Midwest's original Fall Festival, celebrating its 21st year of family fun in the Twin Cities. With a maze challenge and a variety of activities, kids ages three and under get in free.
During October weekends at the Minnesota Zoo, enjoy HallZooWeen, featuring a celebration of fall color and things that go bump in the night. Families can enjoy up-close encounters with both cute and creepy critters that include bats, tarantulas, tigers, and tapirs. Fun for kids of all ages, families can participate in hands-on education programs while watching the animals. An added bonus is a variety of Halloween-themed treats.
Count Karl the Vampire Motorman is your family’s host for this unique Halloween trip on the Transylvania Trolley. Considered “silly, not scary,” this Minnesota Streetcar Museum event encourages kids to wear a costume and get a treat. The ride is about 15 minutes, and no advance ticket or reservation is required.
Fall on the Farm at Eidem Homestead
Children ages four and under get in free at this October 14th harvest time event at Eidem Homestead. Families can experience what it meant to "put up" for the winter through activities that include harvesting the garden, pressing cider, cooking fall goodies in the kitchen, and hayrides.
The Great Pumpkinfest
During the day at Valleyfair’s The Great Pumpkinfest, tiny terrors can join Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang for some not-so-scary Halloween activities for kids. Families can enjoy rides, live entertainment, and great fall activities on Saturdays and Sundays through October.
