Fall can be an idyllic backdrop for tons of fun family activities. Colorful leaves appear suddenly, delicious apples are ready to be picked, and soups and stews warm little bellies. At The Gardner School, we welcome fall with a special celebration for young and old alike: The Gardner School Fall Festival! Our fall festivals were a blast this year, and so we’d like to share a few highlights from our celebrations!

Silent Auctions: Gifts, Experiences, and More

Our families loved the opportunity to bid on wonderful items at the silent auction at a number of our schools. Generous parents and donors provided themed gift baskets, unique experiences, and distinctive getaways. At TGS West Loop, there was even a set of Chicago Bears tickets!

Say Cheese for the Photo Booth!

Many of our schools set up themed photo booths for creative family photos. Attendees at The Gardner School of River North’s Fall Fest had the chance to take a picture-perfect family photo with a silhouette of Snoopy from “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.” As families at The Gardner School enjoy the imaginative backdrops and props of the photos booths, they are also creating memories and lots of laughs.

Having a Blast with Crafts

Kids love to create their own masterpieces. Several schools set up hands-on crafts for their students and their families to make together. The Gardner School of Eagan used construction paper to turn orange baskets into jack-o’-lanterns for trick-or-treat fun. We’re not sure which was more exciting, decorating the baskets or filling them up with tasty treats!

Trunk or Treats with Lots of Candy

Dressing up and eating treats are two of our students’ favorite Halloween activities. So, what could be better than a trunk or treat to go along with a fall festival? At The Gardner School of Dublin, for example, parents brought their vehicles and set up an unforgettable Trunk or Treat for TGS students and staff. Some families even decorated their trunks with a specific, spooky theme! We love seeing our students and their families in costume going from car to car, or classroom door to classroom door in some cases, to fill their baskets.

Games, Music, and Decorations, Oh My!

Several of our fall festivals also featured carnival-style games where families could play to win prizes. Students also created seasonal decorations to fill the walls and windows of their preschool. And with musical hits like The Monster Mash to dance along with, our annual Fall Festivals were a bushel of fun to attend!

We Love Celebrating with Our TGS Families

The Gardner School celebrates the seasons by inviting families and students to attend events when it is safe to do so. These events produce the warm TGS family environment that helps our students thrive. If you’re looking for a preschool that prioritizes building positive community connections, visit a TGS location near you to learn more or take a virtual tour through our website.
