Safety at TGS

Ensuring a child’s safety is a top priority for every parent. At The Gardner School, we take that responsibility seriously by providing a secure, nurturing, and well-structured environment where children can learn and grow with confidence. From classroom safety to emergency preparedness, our commitment to safety is woven into every aspect of our schools.

A Secure Learning Environment

Our facilities are designed with child safety in mind. We implement strict security measures, including:

  • Restricted Access: Secure two-tier level entry systems ensure only authorized individuals can enter the building.
  • Background-Checked Staff: Every staff member undergoes thorough background checks and extensive training.
  • Surveillance Systems: There are cameras that monitor all common areas with a live feed to enhance overall security.
  • Classroom Safety Measures: Age-appropriate furniture, childproofing techniques, and teacher supervision ensure a safe learning space.

Emergency Preparedness and Staff Training

Our team is well-prepared to handle emergencies with:

  • Regular Safety Drills: Fire, severe weather, and lockdown drills ensure that our staff and students are ready for any situation.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification: Teachers and staff are pediatric first aid and CPR certified.
  • Clear Communication Protocols and Open Communication with Parents: We keep families informed with timely updates and emergency notifications through our parent communications app.
  • Strong Relationships with Local Police & Fire Departments: As an active part of our community, we collaborate with our local first responders to enhance our safety protocols and ensure swift emergency responses.

Partnering with Parents for your Child’s Safety

Safety is a team effort, and we encourage TGS parents to be active participants. Through open communication, regular updates, parent resources, and our open-door policy, we help ensure that our families feel confident in their child’s security.
