Whether you send out a digital photo or a physical copy through the mail, make sure you snap the perfect picture with a great backdrop! Taking a picture in front of a known landmark or a beautiful landscape can definitely add a special touch to your cards. Here are a handful of special places to take a family photo in Nashville.

Centennial ParkCentennial Park

With a pond, beautiful gardens, and a 1-mile walking trail (the perfect distance for your little ones), Centennial Park offers picturesque scenery for any family’s holiday portrait. There’s even an antique Yellow Jacket locomotive manufactured by American Locomotive Company in 1942 and an exact replica of the Parthenon, which is perfect spot for large families to pose!

Percy Warner Park

Nine miles from downtown Nashville sits Percy Warner Park, an ideal spot for families to take holiday or New Year’s pictures. The entrance to the park is marked by gorgeous stone steps that provide both a good workout and a beautiful backdrop for family portraits.

Harlinsdale FarmHarlinsdale Farm in Franklin

Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin boasts 200 acres of picturesque farmland, complete with a pond and horse stables, and is a perfect spot for holiday family portraits. Not only does Harlinsdale Farm offer a great place to capture family portraits for the holidays, it also maintains Walking Horse history! 

 

Printers Alley Printers Alley

Want to take your family holiday pictures downtown but off the beaten path? Check out Printers Alley, previously home to the local publishing industry! This area of downtown is now a thriving entertainment district, home to multiple restaurants, bars, and art galleries. It’s best to go during the day to avoid tourist rushes and nighttime partiers, as well as to get the natural sunlight!

Union Station Union Station Hotel

A restored 19th-century railroad station, Union Station Hotel offers a grand setting for family holiday pictures. That’s not the only good news — if you can’t snap the perfect image here, there are many other options right outside the hotel’s doors within walking distance, including the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Ryman Auditorium, and the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
