The Gardner School LOVES teacher appreciation week! Why? Because it gives our families and TGS leadership the chance to honor some of our favorite people: our amazing teachers! Teacher Appreciation Week is an opportunity for parents to show their gratitude to the individuals who change the lives of children every single day. We appreciate our TGS families and their extraordinary generosity to make this time special!
A Royal Reception
Teacher Appreciation Week starts with a bang at many TGS locations. Our teachers enjoy breakfast, lunches, and tasty treats throughout the week from parents that fuel our hardworking staff. This year, teachers enjoyed breakfast pastries, soft pretzels, and even a loaded baked potato bar!
Gifts and Gear
Everyone loves a little swag, so we coordinate with parents to present teachers with gifts that are useful, playful, or just plain fun! Fun, personalized gifts like luggage tags, key chains, personalized gifts, and gift cards to help our teachers feel special. This year, our corporate team sent TGS umbrellas to each of our teachers!
Fuel and Food
What do teachers love? Their caffeine! In addition to yummy treats, many teachers received coffee drinks (or coffee gift cards) to help keep them fueled and happy. They bring a ton of enthusiasm to the classroom, so we like to help them replenish their energy with a customized caffeinated drink (or two!).
Hugs, Cards, and Kind Words
While gifts are always appreciated, nothing means more to our teachers than the kind words of students and parents. Many families bring in thank you cards, and our students offer hugs, drawings, and smiles to let teachers know they’re loved. Our teachers do so much for our students, and they deserve a week to know how much we care!
