That’s a wrap! Camp Gardner 2017 created wonderful memories and exciting activities for our “Happy Campers.” This year’s “Happy Camper” theme took our students on a 10-week adventure in discovering new information, exploring new STEAM learning concepts, and experiencing new activities through a diverse mix of special guests, exciting events, and a whole lot of fun. In case you missed it, here’s a peek at Camp Gardner 2017 from halfway through the summer.
From Camp Gardner kick-off week to the daily and weekly sub-themes, we wanted to offer our parents and friends a look back at some of Camp Gardner’s highlights. We’re honored to be able to extend our fun, educational programs past the traditional school year through Camp Gardner, and as you can see from the images below, every day at Camp Gardner is a unique and special adventure.
Themed Learning
Our “Happy Camper” theme was quite a hit with students, parents, and teachers. From the colorful and eye-catching themed décor to the theme-focused lessons and activities, students were transported each day to a unique environment that made the daily academic experience truly fun and memorable.
Fun Attire
We loved seeing students in their Camp Gardner t-shirts on Fridays, and the special dress up days revealed some adorable characters and creatures, as you can see from the images below.
Outdoor Play and Learning
Our students always enjoy being outdoors, and Camp Gardner’s “Happy Camper” theme made outdoor play and learning even more exciting. Our teachers created campsites, gardens and water recreation fun, plus plenty of free time of outdoor play.
Special Visitors
Firefighters. Zookeepers. Scientists. Musicians. These are just a few of the many special visitors our schools hosted during Camp Gardner 2017. Learning takes on a whole new form when experienced from real-life professionals, and our students couldn’t wait to see who the next special guest might be each week.
Summer Treats
With Camp Gardner’s themed snacks and meals and special summer treat days, we would say that Camp Gardner truly left a wonderful taste in the mouths of our students. As you can see from the photos below, Camp Gardner was a real treat for all.
