Students Learning Cooking Basics at The Gardner School

The Gardner School strives to ensure your child has many opportunities to learn outside of the classroom during day care. Our enrichment classes vary based on interest at each of our locations, and include such classes as soccer, gymnastics, dance, Spanish and computer-based learning.

This summer we are excited to announce that several of our schools are offering a cooking class for ages three and up. The TGS Cooking Class is a summer-only enrichment class where kids learn how to prepare and enjoy healthy foods. Students use their math skills for measuring and become familiar with kitchen tools. They even begin to learn to read recipes! This enrichment course emphasized healthy, tasty foods, kitchen safety and even table manners. The class ends with a showcase where the students prepare a special meal for their parents. The meals include everything from appetizers to the main entrée and even dessert. The little chefs especially enjoyed making fizzy drinks for their number one fans.

If you would like to enroll your child in a cooking class, but your school does not offer it yet, please let us know! It’s our goal to offer the classes you feel best fit your little guys.

Bon appetit!
