The Gardner School is excited to announce the opening of its new academically-focused preschool in the Minneapolis areas of Eagan, Edina, and Minnetonka. Offering year-round educational programs for full and part-time child care for children 6 weeks old through Pre-Kindergarten, The Gardner School provides Minneapolis-area children and families a full suite of enrichment classes, along with our summer camp program, Camp Gardner.

Built with a stimulating, creative, and educationally-engineered design, each of The Gardner School’s Minnesota schools features indoor and outdoor play spaces and security features to ensure a safe and secure environment, as well as convenient hours and locations. With a highly-praised curriculum and STEAM-focused learning delivered by degreed and highly qualified teachers in each classroom, children enrolled at The Gardner School’s Minnesota locations will be prepared for kindergarten and equipped to make the world a better place.

Here’s a look at each of the three new schools, including the leadership team and a peek inside each building.

The Gardner School of Eagan

As Eagan is known for its thriving, family-friendly community and recreational paradise, The Gardner School is proud to now call this wonderful community home.

The Gardner School of Eagan is led by Director Lindsey Mayer and Assistant Director Laura Whitacre. Lindsey joined our team in July of 2017 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Lindsey is grateful that every opportunity she had to work with young children along the way led her to a career in education. As a new member of the TGS team, Lindsey is proud to be working to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.

Laura joined our team in November of this year. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota and received a Master’s degree in May of 2017. Laura knew she wanted a career in education when she realized her biggest role models are former teachers.

The Gardner School of Edina

In a nationally-renowned school district with a thriving economy and collection of public parks, Edina is the perfect home for The Gardner School.

The Gardner School of Edina is led by Director Caron Ihde and Assistant Director Nan Antony. Caron joined our team in July of 2017. While serving in the early childhood field since 1996, Caron was a preschool teacher for three years and has held the title of school director in the years remaining. Among the many things Caron loves about her new role are all the wonderful services The Gardner School provides families to help make their lives easier. Nan joined our team in July 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a PrePrimary Specialty. Nan also has 18 years of experience teaching Pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade. She always loved to babysit and nanny for young children, and that passion is what eventually led her to The Gardner School.

The Gardner School of Minnetonka

As Minnetonka was named one of Money magazine’s “100 Places to Live in America” this year, The Gardner School is honored to bring its early childhood education program to the thriving, family-friendly Minnetonka community.

The Gardner School of Minnetonka is led by Director Stacey Richman and Assistant Director Allison Walker. Stacy joined our team in July of 2017 and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Specialization. From a young age, education was Stacey’s career choice, and now, since 1992, she has lived out that dream and touched the lives of many children and families. Allison Walker joined our team in August of 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Family Science. Allison is inspired by teachers who are passionate about their students learning and who take ownership of their classrooms by making it their own.

All three of The Gardner School’s Minnesota schools are officially open, and we welcome families to schedule a tour to see our stunning, state-of-the-art schools and meet our enthusiastic team.
