We believe each child should be provided with experiences of self-esteem, which are essential in the adjusting, exploring, and growing stages of child development. DTC Campus Leadership

Brittany Hadley

School Director

How long have you been with TGS?
I initially started with TGS in August of 2021.

Roles Served with TGS:
Assistant Director, Director-in-Training, Executive School Director

What is your educational background?
I have my BA in Child and Adolescent Development from Point Loma Nazarene University.

What made you decide to have a career in education?
Since I was a teen, I loved working with children. I have always appreciated their passion for learning new things and decided that I wanted to be a part of that growth.

What makes you laugh about kids?
I love how they always say what’s on their mind! They are so literal and you can have the best conversations.

What do you love most about working with infants through the age of 5?
I love being a part of helping them gain new skills. Their growth as they age, even just month to month, is phenomenal.

What is your favorite part of the day at TGS?
I love getting to greet the kiddos as they come in each morning!

What do you love most about TGS?
There are many things I love about TGS. I especially love the emphasis on education and curriculum.

What is your fondest memory of TGS thus far?
Fall Festival 2021!  It was the first fall festival for DTC, and we had such a great turnout of parents and families!

What inspires you?
The children inspire me! Whether it is a hug in the morning or when I see them grasping a new concept, I am always reminded of why I do what I do.

What is your passion or passions?
My biggest passion is my animals. I have two horses and five dogs! You can find me most evenings riding my horse.

What does the term “Where Learning Begins” mean to you?
Children are constantly learning and absorbing new things. From the time they are infants, it is important that they are provided with opportunities and experiences to help them grow those skills.

How important is early childhood education?
Early education sets the foundation for the child’s future development. It encourages social, emotional, academic, and physical growth, and additional skills that are necessary for a child to be successful as they enter Kindergarten.

What would you tell new parents who are apprehensive about leaving their infant in the care of someone else for the first time?
Please know that we have your child’s best interest at heart! Our goal is to help you feel confident and comfortable with your choice. We encourage communication and hope to build a positive relationship with you and your family.

Jennifer Stanley

Assistant Director

How long have you been with TGS?
Since December 2022

Roles Served with TGS:
I joined TGS as an Assistant Director.

What is your educational background?
I have a bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a minor in elementary education.

What made you decide to have a career in education?
I have always connected with and loved children. They are at such a fun developmental age, and I love to see their minds working. Children are sponges, and I am so excited that I get the chance to help shape their learning while also fostering their unique talents. I also enjoy connecting with families as a unit and offering any support necessary.

What makes you laugh about kids?
The innocence of kids is so pure, and I can’t help but giggle at some of their observations.

What do you love most about working with infants through the age of 5?
As a mom of two children within this age group, I feel as though I can relate to everything that they are going through. I can also connect with the parents on age-specific experiences. I thoroughly enjoy my own children and their ages, and I love being a part of that through the larger school setting as well.

What is your favorite part of the day at TGS?
I love mornings when we can welcome each student as they walk through the doors eager to learn and play throughout the day.

What do you love most about TGS?
I love that TGS prides itself on exceptional standards of care and learning. As a parent, I know that my children are receiving quality care as well as learning through a diverse curriculum that will prepare them as they become school-aged students.

What is your fondest memory of TGS thus far?
I haven’t been a part of the TGS family for very long, but ever since the moment I walked in the door, everyone has been so welcoming and kind. I am confident that the sense of community here will be a trait that I will very much value.

What inspires you?
Not only do my immediate family support my growth day in and day out, but I have an exceptional support system consisting of my extended family and friends. I strive to be the person that my daughters are proud of and will look to as an inspiration throughout their lives.

What is your passion or passions?
I absolutely love creating close connections with those around me and supporting them no matter what they may be facing. I strongly believe that we grow in groups and as part of communities, and I love pouring into others.

What does the term “Where Learning Begins” mean to you?
I believe that learning happens constantly and that it is never too late to start, change, or enhance it. I also believe that in order for intentional learning to begin, one must have an eagerness to dig in. Part of what I love at TGS is that each classroom is exciting and fun for the student, allowing their learning potential to really blossom.

How important is early childhood education?
Early childhood education is not simply a pastime; it is an intentional educational experience that is critical in preparing each child to face the world. A child’s learning potential is at its highest in those first years, and it is very important to maximize the learning within that time.

What would you tell new parents who are apprehensive about leaving their infant in the care of someone else for the first time?
I would tell them that children are so adaptable and that once they develop trust in their caregivers, they will be eager to come to school. We are a community here, and every student is treated like family. We encourage open and constant communication between staff and parents so that parents can be involved in everything. The students are a part of this community, and so are their families.
