Meet the Leadership Team
The Gardner School of Edina is led by Director Caron Ihde and Assistant Director Nan Antony. Caron joined our team in July of 2017 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Education minor. While serving in the early childhood field since 1996, Caron was a preschool teacher for 3 years and has held the title of school director in the years remaining. “I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. I always wanted to work in education and never gave a second thought to any other career,” says Caron.
Among the many things Caron loves about her new role are all the wonderful services The Gardner School provides families to help make their lives easier. “Families with young children are busy, and we have many resources available, from the PreciouStatus app to a wide range of enrichment classes, that help put families at ease about their experience with us,” says Caron.
Nan Antony joined our team in July 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a PrePrimary Specialty. Nan also has 18 years of experience teaching Pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade. She always loved to babysit and nanny for young children, and that passion is what eventually led her to The Gardner School. Nan believes every child needs a strong academic foundation and that learning begins with the family and is nurtured in a quality school. “Learning is lifelong, and I’m so glad it will begin here at The Gardner School,” says Nan.
