Louisville Craft Playdate

March is not only a time for spring weather and fun outdoor activities, but also a time to get crafty! Being National Craft Month, ideas are bringing people together in creative ways, and for all age groups too. Even if you don’t think you have a creative bone in your body, you should try to set a goal to do something new this month! Take your kids to a few places around your area and expand your crafting techniques. Not only will you begin to make fun decor for your household, you might even meet some new friends! Besides, it’s always beneficial to begin teaching your toddler or preschooler how to be a good friend. Below is a few places around town to have a playdate with other preschoolers and toddlers in the Louisville area.

The Diaper Fair Cottage
Children ages 1-5 will love the cottage’s free story hour, which includes a story and craft! After, let your children roam upstairs with their play kitchen or out front with their playhouse.

Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve
The Nature Preserve is a 170-acre family-friendly destination that offers many different experiences. Take your family over to their Nature Center on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9am-1pm, and create free crafts with kids!

Michael’s
Join the local Michael’s for craft-time for kids, a 30-minute arts and craft session. It’s a great time to keep the little spring breakers busy with a new project each day! Parent or guardian must remain on premises

Kentucky Museum of Arts and Crafts
The Kentucky Museum of Arts and Crafts helps families explore art in a variety of ways, including making kites and creating self portraits.
