Columbus Craft Playdates

March is not only a time for spring weather and fun outdoor activities, but also a time to get crafty! Being National Craft Month, ideas are bringing people together in creative ways, and for all age groups too. Even if you don’t think you have a creative bone in your body, you should try to set a goal to do something new this month! Take your kids to a few places around your area and expand your crafting techniques. Not only will you begin to make fun decor for your household, you might even meet some new friends! Besides, it’s always beneficial to begin teaching your toddler or preschooler how to be a good friend. Below is a few places around town to have a playdate with other preschoolers and toddlers in the Columbus area.

Marcy’s Clayground
Designed for 2 to pre-K, the Mom and Me program runs the second Monday of the month, from September to May, beginning at 10am. Activities include projects you can follow with the class or do your own way.

Columbus Museum of Art Center for Creativity
Visitors of all ages are welcome to the center to learn about creativity with hands-on activities and fun displays. They even have a Creativity Lounge, to let families draw, imagine and do other fun activities.

Ohio Craft Museum
The Ohio Craft Museum displays many works of art from skilled Ohioan artisans. Take your family to get inspired with the many works of art in glass, pottery, metal work, paintings, wood carving, and more. The museum also offers many hands-on programs throughout the year.

Lakeshore Learning Store
Every Saturday from 11am-3pm, Lakeshore Learning Store offers free crafts for kids for ages 3 and up at all locations (not just Columbus)!
