Cincinnati Holiday Lights

The holiday season is in now full swing, which means that masters of interior and exterior illumination have already been hard at work decking the halls and stringing up lights on any available surface — all roofs, trees, windows, and shrubs must be covered! Here are some great local places to take in spectacular lights and participate in festively fun activities with your little ones.

PNC Festival of Lights at The Cincinnati Zoo: Millions of LED lights, a light show and 25-ft tree at Swan Lake, “S’mores-N-More Station,” Santa visits and more. Through Jan 2.

Holiday in Lights at Sharon Woods: Over a mile of illuminated, holiday-themed woods that you can enjoy from the warmth of your own vehicle. Also, there’s a Santa-land with warm drinks and baked treats, a gift shop, and entertainment. Through Jan 2.

The Christmas Ranch: Kitschy holiday fun in Morrow, OH. A 110-acre Christmas Village featuring a million LED lights synced up with holiday music. Train and wagon rides, gift shops, pictures with Santa and more. Through Dec.

Clifton Mill Christmas Lights: Nationally recognized, stunning light display at an old water-powered grist mill and covered bridge. Through Dec.

Outdoor Ice Skating at Fountain Square: Strap on your skates and enjoy this impressively sized rink in the heart of downtown. “Santa Skates” on select dates. Through Feb 15.

Metro’s Holly Jolly Trolley: View downtown’s best holiday decorations while riding these festively decked out trollies. Free. Trolleys run every 5-7 minutes Dec 12 and 19, noon-5 pm.
