Additionally, we perform background checks and reference checks to ensure that every teacher has the credentials needed to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for your child. Our School Directors are required to have a college degree with an emphasis in early childhood education and also successful, hands-on experience within the child-care industry. In addition, all members of our faculty receive ongoing training and every member is evaluated throughout the year. Safety and Security is a top priority at The Gardner School.
Your child's safety is our number one concern within our school. Our school is constructed with open floor plans that include plenty of windows that allow open viewing into all of our classrooms. As a result, our school is designed to optimize utilization of floor space to enhance learning and free movement. Parents feel secure knowing that all classrooms are closely monitored through our state-of-the-art security cameras. In addition, all exterior doors are locked and monitored at all times and a secret PIN number for each parent is required for child check in and check out. When it comes to your peace of mind, you can count on us for the highest possible safety and security standards.

Our Enrichment Program is unparalleled.
We believe that it is essential to expose your child to the Arts, therefore we offer a full suite of supplemental classes that consist of Foreign Language, Gymnastics, Sport Skills, Art, Dance, Karate, Music, Drama and computer based learning with Be Smart Kids Software. Our faculty is specially trained in these different disciplines and you will be amazed by how much your child will learn and how much fun they will have doing so.
Equipment and Learning Supplies are carefully selected and are age appropriate.
Our learning supplies and equipment enable your child to meet or exceed his/her developmental stage. Children explore all facets of their environment and use different materials and learning aids that have passed detailed inspections and evaluations by our well-trained faculty. Our school is equipped with a variety of audio and visual aids, educational toys, games, puzzles and learning supplies, and our playgrounds are divided into separate areas for different age groups, each with age-appropriate equipment and toys. The various classrooms within our school are decorated with a variety of colorful pictures, nursery rhyme depictions, seasonal pictures, maps, bilingual calendars and color charts, as well as other age-appropriate materials designed to stimulate the children's curiosity and support our Curriculum.
Nutrition.
Proper nourishment is essential in the development of young children. With this in mind, we offer a full, well balanced lunch and two nutritious snacks daily at no additional cost to our parents. Moreover, we order whole wheat and multi-grain products when available. Our juice is only 100% fruit juice and we provide a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables to the children weekly. Our menus are available for the parents each month and meet the nutritional guidelines established by the United States Department of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Service. Children ages 2 – 5 years of age enjoy their meals in our child-friendly cafeteria.
Parent participation is encouraged.
The Gardner School places particular emphasis on open communication between parents and our faculty. Our Open Door Policy encourages parents to get involved in classroom and school activities. We believe that this is critical in assisting families to monitor their child’s development, as well as maintaining a high level of confidence between parents and our faculty. Our Parent Council is active within the school and partners with the school’s management team to coordinate various community service events, charitable events and fundraisers.
